We’re excited to introduce our upcoming music school program, offering lessons in guitar, drums, and bass, run from Black Sand Studio. Getting into music doesn’t have to be complicated. A relaxed, creative place for everyone to learn music.
Sound School
A hands-on music school built around listening, playing, and doing. The Sound School offers guitar, drums, bass, and band classes taught inside a professional recording studio. Learn through real sessions, not rigid rules. Students learn inside a working studio, side by side with real musicians.
All ages welcome.
Bass
Kristian Darma
Kristian Darma is a multi instrumentalist who works across bass and synth, and builds his own bass guitars under FAD Guitars. That’s where it starts.
His project Ladju explores experimental fusion jazz, moving through shifting time signatures, layered synths, and tight, calculated playing.
He also performs with Dialog Dini Hari alongside Dadang, bringing real live experience into the room.
As a bass teacher, Kristian focuses on groove, timing, feel, and understanding the role of the bass within a band.
Drums
Palel Atmoko
Palel Atmoko is the drummer for Navicula, the Bali based rock band known for their powerful live shows and strong message driven music.
He joined the band in 2017 and has toured internationally, bringing solid energy and feel to both stage and studio.
With a background in formal music education and years of live experience, Palel plays with strong timing, control, and instinct.
At our school, he focuses on building solid foundations, rhythm, dynamics, control , all while helping students grow confident behind the kit and understand how drums drive a band.
